Thanks to all our supporters, friends and family for your prayers and encouragement as we embark on our journey. We will have interenet access while we're gone, so we'll do our best to upload pictures and post about our daily activities.
Please pray for safe and sane travel and that we all stay healthy!

Countdown!
The countdown has begun.....
We can't believe our little Sophie is turning 1 tomorrow and that we have less than a month till our big trip! We're party planning and packing all at once. Everyone has their immunizations except Sophie who had to wait until the big birthday. She has her appointment on Wednesday morning. We're hoping she isn't too sore and cranky after all those pokes.
Dylan has been studying the globe and can now find Iowa and Kenya and draw a line with his finger to show you where the big jet will be taking us. (We're still working on those layovers in Detroit and Amsterdam)
Ryan is more than half way through his trauma rotation (the most interesting and most exhausting of the Ortho rotations-very long hours!). Oct 29th marks the end, so please pray that he stays healthy and has energy for our trip on Nov. 1st.
Nancy is busy keeping everyone clean, fed, healthy and hugged while trying to make sure that all the items on our ever lenghtening packing list will fit in the 5 or 6 bags we'll be taking. No small task - especially with a 1 and 3 year old!
Thank you all for your prayers and monetary support! We are so blessed. God has been faithful and we continue to rely on him as we gear up for the craziness of long flights, new food and the adventure of serving him in Kenya.
Please continue to pray for our health and safety as we travel overseas. Please also pray that God would use us all to serve, heal and share the gospel with patients and their families.
