Thanks for all your prayers! We've arrived in Kijabe safely and everyone is well.
It has been quite an adventure - 3 plane rides, a rather bumpy drive to Kijabe and beautiful scenery! So far - we've seen Cedar Rapids, Detroit, the huge airport in Amsterdam, a beautiful guest house in Nairobi, the Nakumat (a giant grocery store in Nairobi), the hospital and grounds at Kijabe and our guest house. And it's only day 3. The kids are now tucked in bed with the record for fastest time to sleep. I think it took less than 5 minutes. They are a little travel weary, but having a ball. Ryan gets ready to start an early day tomorrow at the hospital, but for a few minutes we are relaxing and reflecting on our journey so far - and listening to the howling wind outside. Kijabe is called "Place of the wind" - and it is!!! The daytime in November is about 80 degrees, and then the sun sets and the wind just blows and blows. Well, must get some sleep. We'll fill you in on more details tomorrow! For now - check out the pics.
